splendour in the grass

What a Splendorous Mistake!

Splendour in the Grass 2014 ticketing sales this morning was disastrous, leaving punters overcharged with fees in excess of $1000 minimum!

The Moshtix system appeared to have been hacked, offering false discounted ticket prices, and others were faced with excessive credit card charges.

Splendour has released a statement saying:

During today’s Splendour in The Grass on-sale, due to technical issues some customers were erroneously offered reduced priced tickets and charged incorrect credit card fees. All of these affected orders will be cancelled today, and customers contacted to allow them to purchase at the correct prices. This was an isolated technical issue that did not affect other ticket buyers and tickets are continuing to sell fast for the festival.

Ticket pricing this year increased by $9 for a single day ticket to $149 and a 3-day ticket being $355 and camping costing $99, and don’t forget all the booking fees!

Chet Faker is feeling splendid about Splendour 2014

Melbourne-based producer and ultimate beard meister, Nick Murphy aka Chet Faker, has confirmed that he will be performing at the upcoming 2014 music festival, Splendour In the Grass, which makes it his third year in a row!

According to musicfeeds.com.au, Chet Faker mentioned the news in a recent interview with Purple Sneakers, where he was asked about his history with the popular festival and if fans can expect a return on the 2014 roster. “Yeah, for sure! – Isn’t the better question, when was the last time a festival booked the same artist three years in a row?” he replied. Good point.

This will make Chet Fker Murphy i the second name confirmed for the 2014 Splendour lineup, the first being 21-year-old NSW producer Max Armata aka Yahtzel, whose appearance was leaked via his official press bio, with management firm Audiopaxx later confirming the young producer’s status to Music Feeds.

Splendour In The Grass 2014 goes down at the North Byron Parklands in Byron Bay this Friday, 25th, Saturday 26th, and Sunday 27th July. The lineup rumour mill is running hot with names such as London Grammar, Sky Ferreira, Bombay Bicycle Club, and even Outkast seen as potentials.
