Fatboy Slim praises Daft Punk

In a interview with Daily Star, Norman Cook – who we know as Fatboy Slim, has praised Daft Punk‘s latest work. He dubs them as ‘the last great dance music supergroup you’ll ever hear,’ and claims that all EDM artists, himself included, have, and will receive ‘a kick up the ass,’ from their 4th studio album.

He describes their work as “a breath of fresh old-school air,” and it is reported that he is putting the next Fatboy Slim album on hold to work with Random Access Memories collaborators.

Avicii drops new mix on soundcloud

In order to back up his greatly scrutinized set and Ultra Music Festival, Avicii has dropped his latest Promo mix, consisting of all the tracks that led his stage time to be dubbed as ‘The worst thing EVER.’

The Swede has chosen to use a fusion of new instruments and experiment further with his style, and when showcased at UMF, his new work led him to receive comments like “OMFG! He just turned Ultra Music Festival into a redneck carnival.” He has used it only as fuel though, releasing the 60 minute mix along with a link to some cowboy boots.
