After radio power duo, Kyle and Jackie O, announced their departure from their popular breakfast segment on 2day FM to join its competitor station 106.5, there have been whispers of curiosity as to who would fill the big shoes that the former hit radio hosts had left behind. The time has finally come, as Austereo dropped the bomb that there will not only be 2, not even 3, but 4 new hosts that will take over the ‘revamped’ radio breakfast segment.
If the news of 4 hosts isnt enough to get you buzzing, it has also been confirmed that all 4 hosts are familiar faces you would have seen, heard, or read about. The ‘Fantastic Four’ will be Sophie Monk, Mel B, Jules Lund and Merrick Watts as revealed on the Today show on Channel 9. It’s a pretty bold move to not only have 4 hosts in one segment but each with their own different personalities (and egos), it’ll be interesting to see how the ‘revamped’ breakfast segment will turn out for 2Day FM. We can only wait till next year to find out. In the meantime, here’s a preview of the new segment that 2Day FM is hyping up…will it rise up to the standards and chart-hitting popularity of Kyle and Jackie O? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
Yep, you read it right. To gain more online views (from those who have been living under a rock), Vevo has recently released a list of the ‘Most Viewed’ music video playlist for this year…and it’s pretty predictable.
It’s no surprise twerking/tongue wagging faux-pas, Miley Cyrus, took the top two spots on the list for her “confronting” music videos, Wrecking Ball and We Can’t Stop. The other ‘shock value’ pop star, Rihanna, also made it twice on the list with Diamonds reaching #4 and Stay on #8…ironic how her deep and moving music videos made it on her list instead of her more provocative videos. Here is the full list of the videos, though I’m sure most of you have already predicted them all…and got them right.
1. ‘Wrecking Ball’ — Miley Cyrus
2. ‘We Can’t Stop’ — Miley Cyrus
3. ‘Scream and Shout’ — Will.i.am and Britney Spears
4. ‘Diamonds’ — Rihanna
5. ‘Roar’ — Katy Perry
6. ‘Just Give Me a Reason’ — P!nk and Nate Ruess
7. ‘Blurred Lines’ — Robin Thicke feat. T.I. and Pharrell
8. ‘Stay’ — Rihanna feat. Mikky Ekko
9. ‘La La La’ — Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith
10. ‘Kiss You’ — One Direction
For those of you who didn’t get any of them right, you can watch the playlist below so you’re updated in the music hype scene. We also recommend you follow this blog on a daily basis as we’ll keep you covered…just sayin’. 😉
As for the others, what do you guys think of the list? Do you reckon there’s other videos that should’ve made the list? Let us know in the comments below!
Are you getting tired of Nicki Minaj and her criticism on American Idol?

Original judge, Randy Jackson, also confirmed of departing from the show after judging countless performances for 12 years since its debut back in 2001.
Along with Minaj and Jackson, other celebrity TV judges are also following suit.
Shakira and Usher will be saying farewell to their judge seats on the hit-show The Voice, however, the show plans on re-unitung the original judge panel members Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
Kelly Rowland and Mexican superstar, Paulina Rubio will also join the US show The X Factor to replace famous popstar Britney Spears and L.A.

Now, anyone in their right mind would read that headline & laugh about the possibility that Rihanna is the bad influence in the relationship. Over the past years, Chris Brown has not only beat her, but he has had run-ins with Frank Ocean, Drake, he has threatened valet parking & has smoked a lot of weed.
But still, despite of all this, My Brown claims that Rihanna is the bad influence between the pair. He said in an interview with Perez Hilton “I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together. I hate to use examples, but Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse — I mean I could go on and on! Is that a given — that you can’t have fortune and fame without [death] being the end result? You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”
He is launching a charity, so maybe he isn’t so bad.
Will.i.am has found himself in controversy, once again, with his new release ‘let’s go’. The song, expected to be chart-topping, features Chris Brown and is particularly reminiscent of Arty & Matt Zo’s 2011 track Rebound. Interestingly enough, his previous run-ins with Calvin Harris, Boys Noize & Adam Freeland didn’t teach him anything, because he hadn’t gotten clearance from Arty’s label ‘Anjunabeats.’
Here is what Will.i.am said about the issue to KISS-FM:
“Arty is a dope producer so I wrote this song to Rebound this last year. I got in touch with Arty and showed it to him, did a different version to it because I asked him [to] make it newer because I don’t just want to take your song and rap over it.
After a year went by, though, we preferred writing over and using the [original] Rebound. Something happened and the clearance…hopefully, we resolved the issue.”
