Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Big Day Out tour dates have been leaked!

It’s that time of year again–great music, good vibes, awesome crowd and a whole lot of sun and sweat.

Yep, you guessed it, the BDO tour dates for 2014 have been announced to get you even more excited for the upcoming summer! Why so early you ask? Well according to the pedestrian.tv site, the dates were originally going to be announced on the 31st of this month, however, the promo poster (with all the tour dates) was uploaded online by ‘accident’! Whether if it’s true or not, we’re not complaining! Works in our favour–the more notice, the better!

But don’t get too excited! Only the dates have been announced, the venues on the other hand have yet to be revealed–well, except for QLD and Auckland, the lucky ducks! And Sydneysiders are also on a lucky streak considering they’ve been granted 2 days of BDO festivities! So without further adieu, here are the dates (and some of the venues) for BDO 2014 in courtesy of pedestrian.tv:

Friday January 17th – Western Springs, Auckland
Sunday January 19th – Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast
Friday January 24th – Venue TBC, Melbourne
Sunday January 26th – Venue TBC, Sydney
Monday January 27th – Venue TBC, Sydney
Friday January 31st – Venue TBC, Adelaide
Sunday February 2nd – Venue TBC, Perth

There you have it! Something to look forward to this summer! Let’s just hope there won’t be as many heat strokes as last year’s BDO sydney event on Australia Day!

So who would you like to see at the 2014 BDO lineup? Let us know below!

Tomorrowland Theme Announced!

While the Splendour festival is getting all the festies excited down under, Tomorrowland is getting the festies excited up north, after announcing it’s theme earlier this week called “The Arising of Life”.

Now don’t fret, the theme isn’t as philosophical as you think…well maybe a tad, think of it more as a subjective theme. Anyway, as seen in the picture above, the festival has gone for a more fantasy-based theme with the deep yet popular proverb tagline: “Yesterday is History. Today is a Gift. Tomorrow is a Mystery.” If the theme set will be similar to that of last year’s gig, this one will be even more epic along with the headliners including Avicii, Armin van Buuren and David Guetta! Consider yourselves lucky ticketholders!

The festival has also promoted the theme through a tv commercial which you can view here.

So whether you’re swaying away at Splendour or moshing it up at Tomorrowland, one thing is certain. The world will be one big festival party in the last week of July! Bring. It. On.
