DJ Central TV would like to warmly welcome MTA Records who recently signed a licensing agreement with Blue Pie Records and DJ Central TV – big love.
Every so often we get the opportunity to do some really cool things at the club. This is one of those weeks. We’re flying Bangs in for a special one off exclusive midnight club appearance in Vegas. This is the night you’ve all been waiting for since about 2009!
Headlining the band room on the night are Sydney favourites CAULFIELD. We’ve had a heap of people asking for the Post-Hardcore rockers to play lately so we figured we’d give it to you in headline form so you can rock a longer set!
Supporting them on the night are:
PAST IS PRACTICE
Once the band room wraps up in Spectrum, Bangs will take the stage in Vegas. If you aren’t familiar with his works, you need to get with it. Check out the video below to familiar yourself with some of his work
The Hot Damn! DJ’s will be playing nothing but the best Punk & Party jams all night until way late into Friday AM. Punk / Party in 34B, Party / Electro / Hip-Hop in QBar.
We’ll have a shit raffle on the night, which is exactly what you’d expect. We always hear kids saying “I never get the giveaways” or “why don’t I ever win anything”. Well, now that problem will be gone, and we’ll be buying an absolute shitload of cheap shit from just about anywhere and giving it away on the night. Don’t say we never do anything for you!
IWRESTLEDABEARONCE are touring and we have a double pass to the show at The Annandale on November 24th thanks to Taperjean.
ALL THAT REMAINS have a new one out titled ‘A War You Cannot Win’. Come party on the night and you could score a copy thanks to Shock!
DEFTONES have a new record out ‘KOI NO YOKAN’ and Warner Music have hooked us up once again with a stack of copies. Being the good dudes we are we will be giving them away on the night.
Doors are at 8pm.
Come Party at Sydney’s most notorious nightclub.
Hot on the heels of the news that Dirty South is coming home to bring in the New Year at Marquee Sydney, the club has announced more big-name acts. This time, it’s all happening around Stereosonic, with four of the festival’s headliners given a night each. Kicking things off is dance hitmaker Calvin Harris, who’ll be filling the main room on Friday 23 November, the night before he hits the Stereo mainstage. The DJ-producer has been keeping busy in recent months, and new album “18 Months” comes with guest appearances from Example, Kelis, Dillon Francis and Florence Welch.
After Stereosonic has wound up, fast-rising U.S. star Porter Robinson will be making his way to Marquee for an official afterparty. You can expect a livewire set from him. As he told inthemix, “I think a year ago I would’ve played the tracks that guaranteed me the best response possible. But I think now it’s more important to present something that’s unusual than perfect. I think it’s easy to provide a fairly-perfect DJ set, you know?”
From there, it’s the turn of Dutch big-room pro Sander van Doorn to headline a mid-week session on Wednesday 28 November. The Dutchman told Vibe at ADE that his recent career has been a whirlwind. “I just did a collaboration together with Mark Knight, and another with a dance group I can’t say too much about yet. My schedule is absolutely ridiculous right now.” Capping it all off is another Dutch big name, Chuckie, who has plenty of experience playing rooms like Marquee. That’s quite a run.
Marquee Stereosonic sideshows:
Friday 23 November – Calvin Harris [$50 on the door]
Saturday 24 November – Porter Robinson [$30 on the door or free with Stereosonic ticket stub]
