Daft punk2 12.04

The most ‘Random’ news that has ever dropped

Daft punk are well known as the kings of Electronic Dance Music. However, they have recently claimed another throne, this one for creating the most confusing artist marketing scheme to date. What is it you ask? Hosting their highly anticipated album’s global launch party in the small regional town of Wee Waa, (Pop. 2000) New South Wales.

While all details are not confirmed yet, it is known that Wee Waa has no airport, is 8 hours from any capital and tickets will be limited to 4000. Not confused yet? you will be. There is also speculation that Daft Punk will not actually be attending their own Global launch party.

Stay tuned for more info. But until then, keep racking your brain for reasonable explanations and read the full story here.

Azealia Banks 13.03

Azealia Banks being controversial, again!

Azealia Banks has reportedly gotten into a recent feud with various artists, promoters and roadies whilst on tour with Future Music Festival. While she may be providing some stellar performances to her fans across the country, the one thing she seems to be doing more than performing is causing trouble.

Not only has she unleashed twitter wars with BOTH Rita Ora and The Stone Roses, but she has accused their stage crew & the FMF promoters of ‘sabotaging’ her set. Oh Azealia, does the drama ever end?

Tomorrowland Announcements Have Begun!!

Last year ID&T’s Tomorrowland spread out their lineup announcements and it looks as though they’ll be doing the same this year! So far the lineup consists of Steve Aoki, Marco Carola, ARTY, Axwell, Dave Clarke and Alesso.

Steve Aoki is heading back to Tomorrowland for the second year in a row and is taking his Dim Mak crew with him – “I’m bringing my whole crew out so we can have our own Dim Mak stage again, and also be playing the main stage ” Last year Aoki tore up the Dim Mak tent on the Friday before playing a 2 1/2 hour set on Sunday at the main stage to finish up the event before a massive fireworks display. This year Aoki will surely bring all of his usual antics and then more to put on a show like no other!

Italian electro / trance  DJ Marco Carola will also be returning this year after performing on the Carl Cox stage in 2012. During an interview after his set last year Carola said “You do something new every time you play and it’s really important to surprise people” so it will be exciting to see what he will have in store for us this year!

Since hitting the scene in 2009, Russian trance DJ ARTY has already created quite the name for however 2013 will be his Tomorrowland debut. In 2012 he was ranked #28 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ’s Poll and played events such as the Electric Daisy Carnival, Spring Awakening, Alesso’s 21st Birthday and Identity Festival. Check out some of these highlights:

Axwell needs no introduction and has is a Tomorrowland regular. After coming off his One Last Tour with Swedish House Mafia i’m sure he will have nothing less than amazing in store for us at Tomorrowland!

The Baron of Techno, Dave Clarke is another returning after hosting and playing at Tomorrowland’s second biggest stage last year. Check out his after movie from last year:

Alesso is back for the third time in a row and will be bringing his energy filled sets back for sure! After reaching #20 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ’s Poll, debuting his first BBC1 Radio 1 Essential Mix and playing a string of other festivals around the world in 2012,it will be good to see him smashing it again at Tomorrowland this year!
