Too many people have been trying to finger Iggy Azalea at her shows, which some f***ed up people might see that as being victimless, so don’t expect to see her go for a quick crowd surf. She’s had enough.
In fact, even at her small shows, she’s had to put crowd barriers in place. Azalea told New York City hip hop radio station Hot 97 that she has had no other choice but to upgrade her security at live gigs because her fans have tried to grope her. “I will get lurk tweets for like a week before my show, like ‘I’m about to go to the Iggy Azalea show and I’m going to f****r her,’ and I’ll see it and be like, please don’t! That’s a violation. I don’t actually like that stuff,” she said. She also added that the attempts to grope her were common among female fans.“Girls will try to do it more than guys ‘cause girls think it’s cool, like, ‘We both got vaginas, it’s fine’. Doesn’t make it okay.”
Azalea emphasised her fans had no right to think that they were allowed to touch her inappropriately, just because of the explicit nature of her songs. “Like, they think I’m real sl***y, like ’Oh, she got a song called ‘P***y,’ I know what she wants. She wants these two fingers,” she said. “Why would I want a stranger to ever f****r me? Buying my album for $12 doesn’t mean you get to f****r me when I come to your city”.
Yep, you read it right. To gain more online views (from those who have been living under a rock), Vevo has recently released a list of the ‘Most Viewed’ music video playlist for this year…and it’s pretty predictable.
It’s no surprise twerking/tongue wagging faux-pas, Miley Cyrus, took the top two spots on the list for her “confronting” music videos, Wrecking Ball and We Can’t Stop. The other ‘shock value’ pop star, Rihanna, also made it twice on the list with Diamonds reaching #4 and Stay on #8…ironic how her deep and moving music videos made it on her list instead of her more provocative videos. Here is the full list of the videos, though I’m sure most of you have already predicted them all…and got them right.
1. ‘Wrecking Ball’ — Miley Cyrus
2. ‘We Can’t Stop’ — Miley Cyrus
3. ‘Scream and Shout’ — Will.i.am and Britney Spears
4. ‘Diamonds’ — Rihanna
5. ‘Roar’ — Katy Perry
6. ‘Just Give Me a Reason’ — P!nk and Nate Ruess
7. ‘Blurred Lines’ — Robin Thicke feat. T.I. and Pharrell
8. ‘Stay’ — Rihanna feat. Mikky Ekko
9. ‘La La La’ — Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith
10. ‘Kiss You’ — One Direction
For those of you who didn’t get any of them right, you can watch the playlist below so you’re updated in the music hype scene. We also recommend you follow this blog on a daily basis as we’ll keep you covered…just sayin’. 😉
As for the others, what do you guys think of the list? Do you reckon there’s other videos that should’ve made the list? Let us know in the comments below!
