Deadmau5 drops a 9 minute epic

Daeadmau5 makes EDM headlines again, dropping a 9-minute epic from his up and coming album while (1<2).

The album drops next Tuesday, and Deadmau5 has been building up this epic album drop the way he would an awesome bass drop. Releasing teasers for us here and there, developing apps and now he has dropped a 9 minute epic, building up to his next electrifying album drop!

The new track, Phantoms Can’t Hang is thrilling. The intro is quirky and full of short sharp beats. The track slowly progresses into an atmospherical electronic wonderland. With synths catching on syncopated vibes and a pounding bass line, you can only imagine how epic the bass drop is! There are undertones of funky and groove in the background, while the forefront of the track is the boppy rhythm and space age sound scapes.

Have a listen below and let us know what you think!

No more trolling for Deadmau5 as he releases new productions.

As Deadmau5 is notoriously known for his serial trolling via soundcloud with his infamous comments on big room sounds at the moment, he has also been very busy releasing more of the tracks he is famous for.

In the last two days, he’s uploaded multiple bootlegs including “Turbo CartPig Racer” and “Somewhere Up Here (fin)” which are to set a new standard for other DJs in the music industry.

This came after his troll response on the Swedish duo Daleri ‘Epic Mashleg’ release on beatport which had 16 drops in 54 seconds, ‘mau5 released a track ‘Drop Da Bomb’ as a parody of this duos success which got unexpected success from the public.

“It’s easy to show up with that one hit, but the problem is not stagnating in a pile of your own fucking shit,” he commented to Vibemagazine at the start of the year.

“That’s something I’m always aware of when starting a new project. If you’re not being diverse, people will get bored. I like Avicii, he’s a real nice kid, but Avicii has got this Levels thing, and I almost feel bad for him. It’s probably not even his fault. He did the track, and it was all right – it was catchy – but I, dead-fucking-mau5, cannot name another Avicii track. I shit you not. I can’t.”

DJ Robots? Deadmau5 Made It Possible!

Forget raunchy girls swaying their hips on-stage to the DJ’s beat, Deadmau5 has created he’s own backup dancers…and they’re not even human!

According to inthemix.com.au the DJ assured his fans that he’ll bring something special to his set at Hakkasan and he fulfilled his promise…in the shape of two “12 feet and two tons of mechanical bliss”. During his 2 hour gig, the two mechanical “deadmaubots” swayed and moved in sync with their master’s beats. They also extended out on the dancefloor, eyes glaring at the dancers, taking their gig experience to a whole other level. While these two robots were dancing and stirring the crowd on each side of the DJ booth, Deadmau5 was right in the centre, making his magic whilst wearing a glowing helmet that matches the head of the robots.

Deadmau5 also has some festival gigs lined up including the the ‘Veld Music Festival’ in Toronto where he’ll be performing along with ‘Above & Beyond’, ‘Kaskade’, ‘Krewella’, ‘Laidback Luke’, ‘John Digweed’, ‘Jacques Lu Cont’ and many more in August– so his deadmau bots might make several guest appeareances down the festival line. Wonder if another DJ will follow suit and try to upsize the bots with another futuristic invention…a hover DJ booth anyone?
