Chicago’s Wavefront Festival may only be in it’s second year, but it is sure looking like they are shaping up to be one of the US Dance festival’s to keep an eye out for.
In it’s first year it drew in over 40, 000 to Lake Michigan over the two days, all whilst competing with another like-minded festival across the country.
With a line-up like this, i’m sure Wavefront will be living true to it’s name and making a real splash in the Electronic music world this year.

Going directly to the hospital for stomach related issues after landing in Brisbane, Avicii has had to regrettably cancel his headlining shows at both the Brisbane and Perth Future Music 2013 Festivals.
“It is with deep regret that we inform you of the decision to cancel Avicii’s performances at Future Music Festival in Brisbane and Perth,” FMF stated. “Avicii went directly to the hospital upon landing in Brisbane for stomach related issues. He has been hospitalised since then. Over the past couple of days we have been monitoring his condition and we have all been optimistic about him being healthy enough to perform. Unfortunately the doctors are not willing to discharge him at this time which means he will sadly be unable to appear tonight or at tomorrow’s festival.”
Future has advised that the headliner “looks forward to playing the remaining shows next weekend” and will be replaced by Hardwell for the time being, who will play extended sets for the Perth and Brisbane shows.
Future Music will be on this weekend in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide with appearances by The Prodigy, Boys Noize , Zeds Dead, Borgore, Kill the Noise, Cosmic Gate, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Madeon, Rudimental and so much more.
