Asia Pacific’s leading Electronic Music Conference (EMC) has released details of this year’s daytime program with more than 80 artists and industry leaders speaking on over 20 panels to be held across four premier Darlinghurst venues The Eternity Playhouse, The Beresford Upstairs, Lo-Fi and The Standard Bowl.
Baauer, renowned for the song that started that gigantic Harlem Shake internet trend last year has remained relatively quiet in the two years since that single’s release.
Over the past couple of weeks Chinese Laundry has boasted some huge acts, ranging from Flume’s project What So Not to a pumping Future Music after-party. However, the venue isn’t set to be slowing down at all over the next month, becoming the home to sold-out tours of Baaur, popular German DJ Ben Klock & many more acts. Thanks to not only the incredible artist roster they are pulling, but the vibes of Chinese Laundry make the venue a quick rising contender of Sydney’s top nightlife locations.
Check out the full line-up below.

It seems our beloved ‘Harlem Shake’ track isn’t quite off the hook yet! Reggae-ton artists Hector Delgado and Philadelphia rapper Jayson Musson are claiming that Baauer did not receive permission to sample their track for ‘Harlem Shake’.
As a result, both artists have now filed a lawsuit against Baauer and Mad Decent Records, owned by producer Diplo, asking for compensation and copyright claims for sampling the track without their consent.
As we all know ‘Harlem Shake’ has absolutely sky-rocketed over the past few weeks, when YouTube users began creating mock videos of the infectious dance track, it has now stood at number one in the Hot 100 for 3 weeks and going.
It seems the YouTube craze for uploading Harlem Shake video’s is still sky-rocketing beyond belief!
With more that 12 000 video uploads over the month, 4000 of which have been watched over 44 million times, and the ever increasing craziness of shaking incoherently with a group of inexplicably and oddly dressed individuals to a phat beat the world has seriously lost the nutters to boredom…but oohhh it is hilarious
What’s your favourite Harlem Shake video??

Starting off in Perth in April, then the tour continues through Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and finally ending in Sunshine Coast on May 5th.
