UK-based EDM fans, ready yourselves. Dance music festival Global Gathering is seeing a huge list of performers preparing to do their thing at the Long Marston Airfield by Stratford-upon-Avon late next month. That list is, may I repeat, huge.
Hosted by Godskitchen on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July, the festival is ostensibly a gathering of the globe’s hottest dance producers. Main stage highlights include Tinie Tempah, The Prodigy, Chase & Status, Knife Party, Madeon, Katy B (and so on, and so on) while The Hangar, a suitably titled repurposed hangar will hold the likes of David Guetta, Alesso and Dirty South, and fittingly gigantic crowds, no doubt.
It isn’t exactly a surprise that long-time Global Gather-er David Guetta is rocking up this year as well but the production team’s ambitious self-acclaimed “super-arena” will present a unique event even for repeat attendees. Below is the recent teaser trailer for The Hangar, which leaves a lot to the imagination.
With six other arenas equally chock full of acts, Global Gathering 2014 will be, to be blunt, big. To get an idea of the size, check out the list of performers on the festival site. There’s also a VIP section presented by DJ Mag for those seeking a more exclusive, pricey package.
