Russian Nina Kraviz has quite the reputation as a selector. She is the complete package. She sings, she produces, she DJs, and it’s for that reason that she is one of the most influential voices in the underground electronic world. As a DJ, she’s a regular at dance music’s most revered venues – think Berghain, Space Ibiza, The Warehouse Project and more – where she’s long been known for picking out the very best in house and techno. This September, Kraviz will be putting those selection powers to good use: she’s launching a new label.
Dubbed трип – pronounced ‘trip’, the press release helpfully advises – Kraviz’s debut label will focus on the “trippier, acidic side of electronic music”. As well as showcasing Nina’s own productions, трип will also house releases from artists Kraviz vibes on and those whose music she regularly plays in her sets.
To celebrate the launch, the Siberian identity will be hosting a series of launch parties, the first of which hits Barcelona on June 14.
