Baauer, renowned for the song that started that gigantic Harlem Shake internet trend last year has remained relatively quiet in the two years since that single’s release. Though he worked with Just Blaze for the hit Higher and RL Grime in Infinite Daps, Clang is Baauer’s first solo single release since then.

Baauer hinted at the single release when the producer dropped an excerpt from an interview with German artist Buedi Siebert on his SoundCloud, discussing the methods of recording body percussion. This move conjured questions that were quickly answered the next day with the percussion-heavy Clang.
