Greetings to all Down3r fans in radio land! The madlads at Wicked Curiosity Media have conducted a radio interview with Mr Suga Boom Boom, and the banter is spicy!
DL is certainly no stranger to interviews. Just look at a few of these samples!
The Wicked Curiosity Media interview is an episode of the Note by Note show, where the hosts examine interesting artists and music that resonates with them. DL Down3r made the cut for their artist of the week, and the wild chats they have are sure to stick in your memory! Down3r goes into detail about his life, telling fun stories about how he used to be known as “Gas Can Jimmy” back at his old job, his experience with a “Scared Straight” situation, and many of the other daily grinds he underwent before he became the superstar he is today! The interview is laid back and fun, and can be boiled down to “three chill dudes shooting the breeze”. Even Down3r superfans might learn a new thing or two about their favourite rapper and the things he’s been through! Down3r brings a studio to life and we’re very much looking forward to picking his brain ourselves! For the longest time now, we’ve had plans for our partner company Blue Pie’s radio show to interview him with the hosts Mighty and Pyrite… perhaps some time later when we establish a brand new broadcasting platform? This year has been intense after all, and with all the things Down3r has been getting up to lately, we’re sure he’d agree with that! This interview even teases some of the future projects he’s been up to such as documentaries! Plenty to look forward to on the new year horizon for Mr Suga Boom Boom!
Through fierce and funky west coast rap, Down3r shares his prolific work with the rest of the world, and the stage with west coast rap legends such as Coolio, Brown Boy, Jay Tablet, Lil Young, Snoopyblue, LadyDice, Baby Bash, Steel City Hustlers, King Z and DJ Kane to name a few.
From powerful messages, lyrical poetry and sharp comments on society, to G-funk and Trap/EDM hype songs, he proves that age and experience is the opposite of a liability in today’s rap game. Blast it loud, get ready to feel something, and rest assured knowing that hip hop never died!
