Sammy G - Do You Like It

DJ Central is very proud to announce the arrival of Sammy G to the artist roster. Bringing some serious street cred and passion to the roster down under.

Sammy G’s single “Do You Like it” broke through on mainstream media, and was placed straight in to high rotation on Sydney’s urban station, The Edge 96.1 and her album ” Do You Like It ” has now been released for the world to enjoy on DJ Central Records. Check out the links below.

The “DO YOU LIKE IT” Remix was also added onto one the world’s notorious fighting game that has sold over 50 Million copies to date – “Tekken Tag Tournament 2” Thanks to BANDAI NAMCO ENTERTAINMENT AUSTRALIA. A massive feat for a new artist to achieve little alone doing that in a remote market like Australia.

Sammy has supported International acts The Outlawz, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Savage as well as an array of high profile local artists including Stan Walker, Jessica Mauboy, and secured a highly coveted spot at the annual 2012 Sydney Mardi at Fox Studio’s alongside Kylie Minogue, Sneaky Sound System and Chicane. Sammy G was given a coveted New Australian artist feature on Channel Eleven’s music show, THE LOOP on CH 11- GO winning over a massive audience that has continued to grow. With quotes like we have from key media below we are truly excited about Sammy’s future with DJ Central Records.

“Sammy G is set to become the next big thing on the urban scene…”
Ash London, Scott Tweedie on The Loop, Channel 11.

“For a long time now Australian artists have been struggling to represent the Urban sound in Australia, I think because basically it was about copying U.S. artists, and it hasn’t worked. Now there is a new breed who are taking this sound and making it their own, much like is happening in the U.K. at the moment with artists like Rizzle Kids & Tinie Tempah. Sammy G is one of those Aussie artists on the Urban scene and a great representative of the new-style talent we have in Australia. The Edge is proud to play her music. Predicting big hits and big things to come…”
Charlie Fox, Content Director The Edge 96.1

“Sammy G is a Firecracker on stage!”
The late and great Charlotte Dawson

“Ive never met an Australian based female emcee like her, with her music, confidence, and ‘can do’ attitude Sammy has triumphed over all the challenges like has thrown her to become the fierce female performer she is today”.
