New season of The Voice AU includes two new judges!

“The biggest show on television is about to get bigger with the announcement of the year…”

The popular broadcasted singing competition, The Voice Australia, has announced two new judges that will be replacing former judges, golden beauty Delta Goodrem and fingernail faux-pas, Seal. The news has been announced by the new credible judges, pop princess, Kylie Minogue and Black Eyed Peas ringmaster, Will.I.Am through their social network platforms.

Kylie Minogue had no problem sharing her excitement to come back to Australia for her new role on national TV,“I look forward to spending time in Australia, getting up close and personal with new talent and working alongside the three amazing artists.” As for Will.I.Am, no public response has been released as of yet. For the fans of the former judges, don’t fret, they do have plans to remain on the music and TV scene. Seal has confirmed several new exciting projects for his fans, stating, “To my Australian fans, sorry to not be back for this upcoming season but I wanted this window of time to focus on a number of exciting career priorities – a new album, a TV and internet project and, most importantly, precious time with my children.” Can’t blame the guy for following his passion and being a good father.

Pop sweetheart, Delta Goodrem, also plans on writing new music and has also been downsized to coach on the hit-show’s first ever spinoff, “The Voice Kids”. Along with Seal, Delta has released a long, heartfelt statement on her instagram account, which you can read here (if you have the time).

As for Joel Madden and Ricky Martin, they have confirmed to kick-on in the show’s new season next year…so there will be some familiar faces…and some familiar eye-candy for the ladies.

In the meantime, here’s a promo to get you excited for next year’s season.

Will.i.am faces more infringment woes

Will.i.am has found himself in controversy, once again, with his new release ‘let’s go’. The song, expected to be chart-topping, features Chris Brown and is particularly reminiscent of Arty & Matt Zo’s 2011 track Rebound.  Interestingly enough, his previous run-ins with Calvin Harris, Boys Noize & Adam Freeland didn’t teach him anything, because he hadn’t gotten clearance from Arty’s label ‘Anjunabeats.’

Here is what Will.i.am said about the issue to  KISS-FM:

“Arty is a dope producer so I wrote this song to Rebound this last year. I got in touch with Arty and showed it to him, did a different version to it because I asked him [to] make it newer because I don’t just want to take your song and rap over it.

After a year went by, though, we preferred writing over and using the [original] Rebound. Something happened and the clearance…hopefully, we resolved the issue.”

Good one, Will.i.am
