Gotye + Kimbra Win “Record of the Year” (Acceptance Speech Video + Music Video)

Gotye01

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards have wrapped up and, as predicted, Australia’s own Gotye was a big winner. During the pre-telecast awards, Gotye took out Best Alternative Album for Making Mirrors and Best Pop Performance Duo with Kimbra for Somebody That I Used To Know.

Later in the evening, Prince turned up looking like a sinister pimp with a sweet-ass cane to present Gotye and Kimbra with Record Of The Year. That makes Gotye the first Australian to take the award since Olivia Newton-John with I Honestly Love You in 1975, and the first Aussie male ever to receive the accolade. Sportsbet proved right on the money, listing Gotye as the odds-on favourite. Below is the music video for the winning track and right under that is the video of the duo accepting the award!
