Stereo Ticket Scam

As if the stress of buying tickets online wasn’t bad enough, now the public has to beware that the tickets they are purchasing may not be legitimate as some patrons found out the hard way.

Promoters, from Australias biggest dance music festival, found multiple fake listings of tickets on sites and have sent out warnings to the public to not purchase tickets online until they are released early next week.

Totem Onelove brand manager John Curtin said the fake Stereosonic tickets were first detected two days ago.

“Industry tickets are available via an exclusive trusted network of people around the country. This network is a registered group of ticket promoters who sell hand to hand tickets on behalf of Stereosonic.” said a Stereosonic spokesperson.

Real tickets for Stereosonic are released and sold online on August 1st.
