aria-week

Hey Hey! It’s ARIA Saturday!

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) recently announced that the ARIA charts will move from its regular time slot at 6pm on Sundays to 7pm on Saturdays.

According to The Music Network, the transition will occur this Saturday with the ARIA Singles Chart to be announced on Take 40 Australia with Jackie O from 3pm to 7pm and the ARIA charts to be released online at 7pm.

ARIA CEO, Dan Rosen, claims that the the transition will please more of the Aussie music fans, “In today’s fast moving information age we wanted to make sure that we could announce the ARIA Charts at the earliest possible time, giving Australian music fans the most up to date account of what tracks and albums have charted over the past week. It will be exciting to have the Charts revealed for the first time on national radio and in synch with our social media, with the number one track in the country announced at 7pm on Saturday night.”

The transition is quite a risk considering the main demographic (15-25 years) are usually out on Saturday Nights. Will you guys be more likely to tune in on Saturdays or prefer the original Sunday slot? Let us know!
