After a lengthy meeting with the Miami City Commission, Ultra Music Festival have won the approval to hold a second three day festival on the weekend of March 22-24. The approval has only been made for this year, however Ultra will have the opportunity to address this with the Committee in 2014. It also doesn’t come without cost, Ultra has agreed to pay $500 000 to the city to cover additional police and fire services.
The festival is celebrating it’s 15th anniversary this year and is predicted to have 300 000 party goers through their gates over the six days, generating over $150 million for the local economy. The second weekend has already gained tonnes of support and Ultra’s founders are promising to create two unique experiences.
