With recent releases like “Whoa” and “Chum” trending a similar feel, Earl Sweatshirt’s self conscious lyrics drip over this eerie yet familiar track. Earl shares the vocals with Inglewood’s Casey Veggie and longtime Odd Future affiliate Vince Staples. The sonics seem to spawn from Odd Future, with a demonic bass droning under murky and dirty off beat drums, giving this track a definite Earl flavor. The vocals flow with a taste of Tyler, yet Earl seems to have developed on these themes, that continue to define him. He seems to be getting deeper into the definition, so to speak. This track is minimal and effective. Earl seems to have tapped into the essence of a sound just starting to mature.
