The Big Day Out 2014 sideshows have been announced! Arcade Fire, Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion), Major Lazer, Primus,The Lumineers, Grouplove, CSS, Mac Miller, Toro & Moi, Portugal, The Man, and The 1975 are taking over venues down the east coast to give their fans an extra chance to see them perform while they’re in the country for Big Day Out 2014.
Big Day Out 2014 headliner, ARCADE FIRE, will be performing two very special sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne in January.
Having just released their fourth studio album Reflektor, ARCADE FIRE, have been hiding under a shroud of mystery this year, performing pop-up shows around the world as ‘The Reflektors’. Three years since their Grammy Award winning Album of the Year The Suburbs, ARCADE FIRE have been making waves with Reflektor debuting at the top of charts around the world.

SNOOP DOGG aka SNOOP LION has announced Big Day Out 2014 sideshows with special guest MAC MILLER.
As the go-to-man to get your booty movin’, SNOOP DOGG aka SNOOP LION has solidified his position as the world’s leading hip hop artist. Recently adopting the moniker ‘Snoop Lion’ after an inspirational trip to Jamaica, these shows will be the first time Australians will see the reinvented ‘reggae’ superstar live on stage performing a mix of Lion tracks and his greatest Dogg hits!
Joining ‘Da Big Bo$$ Dogg’ on these very smooth shows, is none-other than MAC MILLER, fellow-Big Day Out artist, close friend of Snoop’s and one of the brightest stars in the hip hop scene. At the tender age of 21, Mac Miller has been making huge waves in the music world with two US top #3 albums already under his belt.

MAJOR LAZER and FLOSSTRADAMUS have let hoards of people know what’s up when they take the stage at Mad Decent’s block parties across the USA. Together they have partied and made beautiful music, with FLOSSTRADAMUS releasing a booty-droppin’ remix of MAJOR LAZER hit, ‘Original Don’, which has received millions of views online.

GROUPLOVE started the party this year with ‘Ways To Go’ – an anthem amongst friendship circles and downright one of the catchiest songs in recent times. This is perfectly paired with CSS, who have what The New York Times perfectly described as “A gleeful throwback to early-1980’s art-school pop.”
